Our Services

Supporting Children at Every Stage!

Occupational Therapy helps children develop the skills they need to grow, learn, play, and thrive in their everyday lives. Occupational therapy supports kids in building independence and confidence across home, school, and social environments.

Our goal is to understand each child’s unique strengths and challenges, and to create playful, meaningful, and personalized interventions that support their physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Through hands-on activities, sensory-rich play, and family collaboration, we help children reach their fullest potential.

Infant Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy isn't just for older children. Play by Play provides specialized support for infants experiencing torticollis, positional preferences, tummy-time difficulties, movement asymmetries, and early developmental concerns.

Areas OT Can Help:

Sensory Processing

Children process sensory information in different ways. Some children may be sensitive to sounds, textures, clothing, messy play, or busy environments, while others may constantly seek movement, climbing, crashing, spinning, or deep pressure. Occupational therapy can help identify a child’s unique sensory needs and develop strategies to support regulation, attention, participation, and success in everyday routines.

Emotional Regulation

Big emotions can make everyday routines, transitions, play, and social interactions challenging. Occupational therapy can support children who experience frequent meltdowns, difficulty with transitions, frustration, impulsivity, or difficulty calming their bodies. Through play-based activities, sensory strategies, and development of coping skills, we help children build emotional awareness and regulation skills for greater participation at home, school, and in the community.

Self-Care & Daily Living Skills

Everyday routines can be challenging for some children. Occupational therapy can help children build greater independence and confidence with daily activities such as dressing, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and mealtime routines. We can also support children experiencing toileting fears, difficulty recognizing body signals, withholding, sensory sensitivities related to the bathroom, or challenges completing toileting routines independently.

Fine Motor & Handwriting

Fine motor skills are important for many of the activities children complete every day. Occupational therapy can help children develop the hand strength, coordination, dexterity, and visual-motor skills needed for tasks such as handwriting, cutting with scissors, using utensils, managing fasteners, drawing, and completing schoolwork. We support children who may struggle with pencil grasp, letter formation, handwriting legibility, hand fatigue, or completing age-appropriate fine motor tasks independently.

Motor planning, Coordination & Body Awareness

Some children may appear clumsy, frequently bump into objects, have difficulty learning new movements, or struggle with activities such as climbing, jumping, catching, or navigating playground equipment. Occupational therapy can help develop motor planning, coordination, balance, body awareness, and strength to support greater confidence and participation in play and everyday activities.

Play Skills

Play is an important part of how children learn, connect, and develop. Occupational therapy can support children who have difficulty with pretend play, sharing and turn-taking, playing with peers, flexibility during play, or exploring new play activities. Through child-led and play-based experiences, we help children build social participation, problem-solving, creativity, confidence, and the skills needed to engage more successfully with others.
